tvOS Integration

The TrueX Ad Renderer (TAR) for tvOS renders Infillion interactive ads inside native Apple TV apps that play long-form video with ad breaks, known as FEP (Full Episode Player) apps. The renderer is available in two major versions:

TrueX and IDVx

Both ad products are requested with a VAST tag in one of two formats, generic or companion - see VAST Tag Types. Your app tells them apart by the VAST <AdSystem> value:

Upcoming: SDK 4.x

SDK 4.x is not released yet. It fully supports both TrueX and IDVx ads.

What You'll Need

• A tvOS app with a video player and an ad integration (Google IMA DAI, or your own ad layer)
• tvOS 13.0 or later for SDK 3.x (the 4.x requirements will be published with its release)
• TruexAdRenderer-tvOS 3.15.3 - see SDK 3.x Integration - or 4.x once released - see SDK 4.x Integration
• A full-screen view controller that the renderer can present the interactive ad on
• A test VAST tag from your Infillion contact - see Integration Flow
